5 Minutes Peace

The other night I was checking another item off of a little novel I like to call my To-Do List - it happened to be "Shower"...yes, shower is actually a chore on my list - I began my usual start to finish routine when I had I realized that the only thing I was rushing to next was bed.. Somewhere between dreading the inevitable hair drying to come, the hair washing, shaving, and scrubbing I had forgotten that this was my time. For the next 5 minutes I just simply enjoyed the peace&quiet of the moment -- I cannot even tell you how relaxing it was! (Ok, ok...it was SUPER relaxing!!)

I decided that every single day from now on I am going to make it a point  to add a new item to my To-Do List - "5 Minutes Peace". I highly recommend it..!

Words of Wisdom

I will not eat anything that is the same texture initially as it would be if it got chewed up and spit out or ran over by a car. Mashed poataoes, bananas….not going to happen.
-My little sister's boyfriend... I get it - well put.

Boots, Beer, and Bull Riding...Before the Mayhem.

Excited to cowgirl up! this weekend and introduce some of my “new” friends to a good old time at the Springville Rodeo!! Besides the Jackass Mill Run…(yes…there is a “Jackass Mill Run” where donkeys, horses, and cowpeople parade up to the rodeo grounds each year..the kicker is that most of the “Jackasses” involded are the ones watching this spectacle..) anyways, besides that, the Rodeo has always been one of those little authentic pieces of my hometown that I truly appreciate. However this year I will be able to FULLY appreciate it considering I was never old enough to (legally) drink when I lived there.. There’s great food (not including the year my little sister got e-coli..we will chalk that up as a fluke), the stands are actually authentic wooden benches hammered into the ground, plenty of rednecks to keep it interesting, and some pretty impressive cowboy talent down in the arena from what I remember. Oh - and I can’t forget to note the “Budweiser Girls” as my dad always had to comment on how much “talent” they bring to the table each year.

All joking aside, I am very excited to be able to bring home some of my newest, and now closest, friends to meet my parents and experience my hometown. If all else fails, I know that Ricky B won’t dissapoint..be it the crude jokes that I think NO ONE should ever be old enough to hear, the imitation nipple beer topper, or the billybob teeth - he alone can hold down the fort when it comes keeping people entertained. More to come…yeee haawwww!
